What is rock camp?

Learn an instrument. Form a band. Write a song. Perform live.

In one week, Rock Campers get a crash course in playing an instrument, writing songs with a band, and take a series of workshops related to music and social justice.

Through mentorship and peer collaboration, we offer the opportunity for youth to develop self-esteem and become confident and skilled leaders with the tools to build community, and create positive change in their lives and the world. All while rocking out and having FUN!

Camp tuition is $350 for each camper.

BGRC offers a sliding scale option for tuition assistance.

Tuition is due upon application. If tuition assistance is requested, we will contact you and confirm the amount of assistance we can offer. You will be asked to make your tuition payment upon receiving confirmation of your assistance amount.

Tuition can be paid via Cash, Check, Square Invoice, Venmo, or PayPal. Checks must be sent to PO Box 2031, Bellingham, WA 98227.

All of the workshops at camp relate to music, social justice, leadership, and self-expression!

Workshops are led by community leaders.

At the end camp, each band campers will perform their original song LIVE a the showcase!

The Showcase will take place at The Blue Room on the Saturday of camp!

This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
